Zandvoort 2009!..
Looks like Zandvoort race meeting is on for the 2009 season. The date proposed is 27-28 June 2009. According to the BARC we can have: 1 free practice of 20 minutes, 1 qualifying 20 minute session and 2 races at 25 minute each.
If we can confirm 25 BMW's the cost would be £335 per driver. If the club doesn't get 25 cars the club would have to pay the difference. We have also been told by the BARC that ALL drivers will need to have a "NATIONAL A" licence to drive at Zandvoort.
If you are interested please let Trevor know (07710 493953) if you would DEFINITELY be at this meeting.

KUMHO BMW Series - Press Release 08/04/2008...

A bumper addition to the 2008 prize fund supplied by series sponsor FFE, courtesy of Ian Munns.
Ian has pledged some fantastic prizes. His wish is to give drivers something in return for their efforts throughout the 2008 championship which is very much inline with the series organizers, the BMWRDC, ethos.
£50 cash will be awarded to the driver of the day for the first four rounds in 2008.
In addition the overall championship winner in 2008, will be awarded 3 sets of Kumho race tyres and 3 paid race entries for the 2009 series (even if they are double headers).
The other class winner, be it class A or B, will be given 2 sets of tyres and 2 paid entries as above for the 2009 series.
These are superb awards and a major boost to this years series. The BMWRDC wishes to thank Ian Munns and FFE Fire and Security for this generous sponsorship.

Hans Device Alert
Mike Wright has spoken to the FIA technical man on the above and he has concerns over the fitment of "Hans" anchor posts by private individuals or companies not qualified to carry out this type of safety related work. The only British company licensed to carry out these mods is Stand 21.
Anyone who has this work carried out must ensure that they obtain a certificate which details the work carried out and positively identifies the helmet in question, they must also be able to produce that certificate at every event when required to do so by a member of the scrutineering team.
